When we change our approach to communication we can significantly and positively impact our overall well-being.
As the saying goes, "When we start to say things in a different way, we can start to create those new images in our mind." This powerful insight highlights the connection between our language and mental imagery, which plays a vital role in managing stress.
Emotional eating is a common response to stress and anxiety. Often, we find comfort in food during challenging times, leading to unhealthy habits and weight gain.
The first step towards breaking free from emotional eating patterns is to reduce stress and anxiety levels.
By consciously altering our vocabulary and communication style, we can transform the mental images we create.

Are you tired of waiting for the perfect moment to be happy?
Do you catch yourself daydreaming about a future where stress and distractions vanish, and you can finally focus on yourself, regain your health, and achieve your weight loss goals?
It's time to step out of the waiting room of life and embrace the power to transform your life today.
The Illusion of Waiting:
Life has a way of convincing us that happiness is just around the corner.
We tell ourselves that once the kids have grown up, the deadlines have passed, or the house is built, then we can finally relax and enjoy life.
We believe that only when stress and distractions are gone, we can focus on our well-being and pursue the goals that truly matter to us.
But here's the truth: the waiting room is an illusion, and happiness should not be postponed.

Did you know it's because your brain gets tired?
And the good news is that you can revitalize your brain power easily and quickly and generate more will power and motivation and get yourself back in control.
How?
Give yourself a moment to rest your mind through relaxation.
It's as easy as:
Sitting at your desk put your head in your hands Close your eyes
Rest Breathe Deeply
Allow yourself to slow down
Do this 6 times a day and replenish your will power resources.
Happiness actually isn’t very highly rated; it is highly coveted, but not highly rated in regards to the value it can add to your life.
Yet the ROI on happiness is massive!
It:
Lowers your risk for cardiovascular disease
Lowers your blood pressure
Enables better sleep
Improves your diet
Boosts digestion
Reduces stress and anxiety.
Boosts your immune system
Reduces inflammation in the body
Reduces auto immune problems
Improves blood flow through your body by releasing tension from your body
Releasing tension from the body reduces migraines, headaches and aches and pains
Improves brain function (all the increased blood flow clears thinking)
Increases mental health
Increases emotional health
All of which helps you to maintain a healthy body weight because when you feel good you make better food choices, you want to exercise more, drink less alcohol and generally you have all round better health habits because happy people make happy healthy choices.
Imagine what you could do if...
It’s your beliefs, attitude, thoughts, feelings and assumptions about something.
It’s your ability, capacity, willingness and worth to do something.
It’s the perspectives you see through and how you engage with and react to people, places, situations and events.
It’s what you give your attention and focus to and what you’re actually looking for and expecting to find.
It drives your behaviours that lead to the results that you experience.
Which leads to the question, what’s your mindset about:
Food
Exercise
Weight loss
Health habits
Your body
Yourself
Stress

Have you seen the movie Yes Man with Jim Carrey?
Great movie about how saying "Yes" to everything can create radical change.
But for the women I work with, not saying "Yes" isn't their problem.
In fact, saying "Yes" is how they've gotten in the situation their in.
They've said "Yes" to soooo many things, they're on the verge of mental, emotional and physical burnout.
"No" is the word that's missing from your vocabulary;
No to more & more responsibilities
No to every person who steps on your boundaries
No to not speaking up
No to the voice in your head
No to chronic stress
No to being paid less than your male colleagues
No feeling powerless
No to conditioning
No to believing you have to do it all
No to not asking for help
No to emotional and comfort eating
No to not looking after your health

Take the pressure off of your credit card and bank account:
If people are old enough that they no longer believe in Santa, flying reindeer and elves, feel comfortable to give the gift of connection. This will relieve you of the pressure of gift preparation and the financial burdens that excessive gift giving can create. The best gift is genuine connection: having real conversations with people, listening deeply and giving the gift of loving touch. So many people are never touched lovingly and neutrally by other human beings. Did you know that we need 5 hugs a day for general well-being and happiness?
Take the pressure off of your friends and families credit card and bank account:
Let your friends and family off the hook too and let them know that this year you have everything you need but you can never get enough hugs and filling up your hug account is something you'd welcome over any silly old store bought gift.
Be choosy about what you spend your sanity on:
Embrace the fact that there...
I've put together a list of simple yet effective ways for you to embrace the joy of Christmas this year.
And in the spirit of keeping it easy and simple, I will roll out the list over the rest of this week.
Lets take a proactive approach to Christmas because it's easier than you think!
Day 1:
Make plans in advance where possible: I know that's a no brainer, but it's surprising how often it's overlooked and especially when it's still November, we just keep thinking we still have lots of time. But the reality is, you have less than 5 weeks and we all know how manic those last couple of weeks can get. So jump in and make your plan now for what you need to do and get started.
If you're not already someone who makes lists, now is a good time to embrace list making. It gets things out of your head and clears up space in there for feeling calm and you'll always remember the important things because you've written them down. The most important thing lists do is allow you to see all the things...
When I was stuck in dieting hell, the hardest thing for me to cope with was that all the solutions that were available were all focused on food.
I already thought about food too much and what I really wanted was to just forget about it, to only think about it as fuel for a healthy body.
But no matter where I looked for solutions, it always came back to “what I was or was not allowed to eat”.
I don’t know if you can relate, but whilst all the diets and eating plans on offer seemed to work for other people, I knew they wouldn’t work for me. God knows I’d tried them all, but none of them ever took away the desire for the “forbidden foods”.
I like fruit, I like toast and Vegemite, I like all vegetables, I like eggs, I like dairy, and I didn’t want to have to cut them out of my life.
I was overweight and I’d been on and off the dieting wagon for 25 years after I had developed a behaviour of coping with...
